I like this a lot. Easy for me to navigate. Nice!
In this video you mention that the 1851 you are using is a Cimarron by Uberti.
Is there a difference between a Cimarron by Uberti and a standard Uberti revolver?
Not in this case. Sometimes importers will contract for exclusive distribution rights on a model, but not this particular one. I only mention the importer so viewers will know where they can buy one.
Why the 1851 Navy and not the 1861 Navy?
I like the “roll yer own” and ” do it yer ownself” articles and videos.
I have a Pietta New Model Navy Remington that I put a Kirst cartridge conversion cylinder on as well as a cartridge ejection rod, as well as 3 Pietta cartridge conversions in 45 LC. Finding hollow based bullets for the 36 caliber gun has been a problem. To avoid the same problem with my 1851 Colt replica I bought a 44 cal version and put on a Kirst 45 Colt conversion cylinder even knowing it wasn’t historically accurate.
